Can Anne Quit Smoking Cigarettes?

This article is all about “Anne.” Anne is a hypothetical smoker. You might be able to relate to Anne if you are a smoker who’s been trying to quit…in fact, this story might sound VERY familiar to some of you…

Anne is 28 years old & she is a self made woman who works in an important position in a bank downtown. Anne runs marathons on the weekends & she’s been competing in sports since she was a child.

Anne’s been on her own for the last 10 years & she has slowly but steadily climbed the corporate ladder to get where she is now. It has been a long journey, but for someone with her stamina & drive, it really wasn’t that tough…

Anne started smoking in junior high to be “cool” & she’s been a casual smoker ever since. She usually has amazing will power & can overcome just about any obstacle thrown in her way- her career has certainly proved that…

However, Anne just can’t seem to quit smoking. No matter what she does, she’ll eventually find herself buying a pack of cigarettes. And when she buys a new pack, she almost feels like a robot…she feels like someone else is controlling her actions as she puts the cigarettes into her bag & checks out. (In fact, sometimes she doesn’t even realize that she’s bought a new pack until after she’s 1/2 way home…!)

What is Anne’s problem? Why can’t Anne just quit smoking for once & forever..?

How tough can it really be?

Apparently tougher than you think because Anne HAS semi-quit smoking 8 separate times during the last decade. However, before she knows it, she finds herself smoking again.  It just seems sooo hard to kick the habit forever…

Like a lot of smokers, Anne keeps asking herself privately: “Why is it so hard to quit smoking…I’d love to quit because I know this can’t be good for my health…& I’d save a LOT of money if I just gave up smoking for once & for all!”

So, why CAN’T someone like Anne seem to quit smoking? After all, she’s got a lot of drive & will power..what makes smoking so much different?

Is it different? Is it a physical addiction….is it psychological addiction…or is it both- a combination…?

A lot of current & ex-smokers will tell you how hard it is to quit. And a lot of smokers are just like Anne…they started smoking a long time ago & would like to quit, but some how they just can’t seem to get the job done.

Well, there is good news for all the smokers out there like Anne!

There ARE products on the market to help you quit smoking….and some people have had GREAT results after investing in them…

But, as any ex smoker will tell you, quitting smoking takes a lot of courage & determination…however, the rewards make it well worth it….

You bet it would!

However, the big issue seems to be that there are so many “quit smoking” products on the market that it’s almost impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff…
