How to Quit Smoking without Weight Gain

You want nothing more than to be able to quit smoking. But the prospect of gaining weight really does not appeal to you at all! How are you supposed to stay focused on your goal when the goal leads to such an undesirable side effect? Don’t worry; breaking one bad habit such as smoking, doesn’t necessarily mean replacing it with another bad habit like overeating. Arm yourself with some facts about your body to be better able to side step those typical and detrimental side effects.
According to smoking cessation therapists, part of the reason so many people suffer weight gain when they quit smoking is because cigarettes actually stimulate the metabolism. Apparently, if you smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, your body can burn up to 250 calories a day. But we all know this really is not a safe or viable way to maintain any one’s ideal weight! In truth, throughout their entire process of quitting, smokers will typically only gain 5-7 pounds. Eventually, once you’ve completely quit smoking your metabolism will normalize. And during the process of quitting practicing these few simple tricks will be sure to help you along the way:

  • drink plenty of water – to lesson the cravings, curb weight gain, and flush out toxins
  • feel free to eat at will – just choose healthy, nutritious foods and steer clear of junk foods having little or no nutritional value. Your body will need plenty of nutrients to help it adjust to the changes it will be going through while kicking the smoking habit.
  • exercise regularly – make a routine of walking, running, or any physical activity that you enjoy. Not only will this up your metabolism, it will also keep you too busy to sit around and dwell on how much you want a cigarette.
  • enlist the use of nicotine replacements – just be sure not to use more than is necessary
  • join a support group – having others to share your process with does a lot to help you stay focused

Remember also to keep focused on the results of your goal. Once free of nicotine, your vital organs like the heart, lungs, and your arteries will begin to regenerate ridding themselves of the damage done to them by your previous smoking. You will lose those yellow stains from your fingers and fingernails and all your skin in general will become fairer, smoother and appear stress free. Your teeth will become brighter and stain-free, you will no longer have bad breath, and the health of your gums will improve. Healthy gums and teeth are proven to have a tremendous effect on the the overall health of your body in general. When you think about the advantages of living a smoke free life, you will feel great inside and out! Keep your focus on your goal and you will never regret your decision to quit smoking.

Smoke Deter – Stop Smoking System

Too addicted to Quit?

Things people would normally never dream of ingesting are pumped into the lungs and bloodstream every time a cigarette is lit. Chemicals like Butane, Carbon Monoxide, DDT (insecticide), Lead, even Polonium-210 (radioactive fallout), just to name a few. You know it’s bad for you, so why is it so hard to quit?

“Nicotine addiction is one of the strongest addictions to overcome”

Introducing

All-natural, homeopathic, sublingual spray that helps relieve your symptoms as you kick the smoking habit!

DO YOU MEASURE TIME BY WHEN YOU LAST HAD A SMOKE?

An article in “New Scientist” reveals that in addition to altering the body’s dopamine levels, nicotine also causes hormone changes in smokers that alter their perception of time when they try to abstain. In a lab test, researchers studied how smokers and non-smokers estimate elapsed time. Initially, the two groups had similar abilities in time perception, but when tested again after abstaining for a day, most of the smokers estimated much longer time intervals, as much as 50 percent longer!

No wonder you’re irritable when you try to quit!

And that doesn’t even take into account all the other symptoms your body must deal with to break the strong addiction to smoking, and you’ve felt them, which is why it can be very hard to succeed. A lot of people have asked us, “Just what, exactly, is a homeopathic medicine?” Because homeopathy is an age-old practice of “like-cures-like” healing, we want all our readers to know just what that means, along with other, frequently asked questions by our customers. Also, read our How It Works page for more details about Homeopathy.

Q: What, exactly, is homeopathic medicine?

Q: Why do homeopathic medicines contain alcohol?

Q: If I’m taking other medications, can I also use homeopathic medicines?

Q: What side effects will I have?

Q: What, exactly, is homeopathic medicine?

A: Back in the early 1800′s a gentleman by the name of Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician, became known for his medicinal formulas which were based on the premise that “like cures like.” That is, if a plant brought about certain symptoms in the body, sweating, active thirst, splotchy skin, then that plant would be able to “teach” the body to resist these same symptoms.

Q: Why do homeopathic medicines contain alcohol?

A: Homeopathic medicines use natural alcohol as a preservative, and as a means of naturally helping to protect the ingredients from contamination. In addition, it helps maximize absorption in the body.

Please note: If you have a known allergy to alcohol, do not take any homeopathic medicine.

Q: If I’m taking other medications, can I also use homeopathic medicines?

A: We advise you to first consult with your primary care provider, before adding homeopathic medication regimen.

Q: What side effects will I have?

A: Homeopathic products are safe. For information about ingredients read our reviews.

Choose the method to quit smoking that works for you

There are tens of millions of people who truly want to quit smoking. Every smoker knows the benefits of discontinueting fuming. They recognise that smoking can cause lung cancer, heart problems and can exacerbate a host of other health problems. The want to quit smoking yet they go on to smoke

You may be one such person. You’ve read the quit smoking information and may have tried a number of times. Many people use one method to discontinue fuming after another, ranging from the ‘cold turkey’ approach to the discontinue fuming patches and gums. There is more quit smoking advice on the net than you can agitate a stick at

If you are like most people, if you fail with your quit smoking plan, it’s a disappointing experience, typically accompanied by a big self-inflicted guilt trip. If you want to discontinue fuming, you need to understand that the best method to discontinue fuming is the one that fits your individual physical makeup and psychological profile

You probably have got word the benefits of discontinuing fuming from your doctor. In fact, they might have stated you that the patches or gums were one of the best ways to discontinue smoking, with an eminent success rate. A friend who quit a few years ago may have indorsed the stale turkey’ method, with an uncomplimentary, “it’s just mind over matter!” So why didn’t either of these work for you? The fact is that you are, like everyone else in this world, an idiosyncratic. What works for another person may not work you

First I want to tell you that I quit smoking many years ago. I discontinue utilizing hypnosis relaxation and visualization techniques (self-hypnosis) and willpower. There really weren’t many other methods to quit back then

Today people can quit with a number of means. Many people after travelling to their doctor will select the patch. Although you don’t necessitate a prescription anymore, I have mouthed with many people who were dictated a sure dosage which jibed with the amount they were fuming. The idea behind the patch is gradually diminishing the nicotine eases the withdrawal factor. This does work for some people, but many people just don’t have any luck with it

The problem with the delivery system of the patch is that it pumps nicotine into the bloodstream. Some people experience a nicotine rush that can make them finger as though they desire to leap out of their skin. It can cause dizziness, which can make driving a tangible problem. Other people go afflicted and vomit. So be alive that not only does the patch not work for everyone, it has some very alcoholic drawbacks as well

Another method to quit smoking is nicotine gum. Although the problems may not be as intense, nicotine gum also has side effects akin to the patch. Many people sound off of a discomposed stomach or dryness of the mouth

Like I mentioned above, a widely used method to quit smoking is hypnosis. I have assisted hundreds of clients that really desire to discontinue fuming. The biggest key is that they really have to want to quit smoking and not be a result of desiring to delight someone else. Hypnosis relaxation methods will work if you want to quit and are perpetrated to being smoke loose. Many people quit after one session with no cravings or symptoms of withdrawal

If you do quit with hypnosis, or any other method, you need to be aware of people that will test your resolve. So if you have made the commitment to stay smoke loose and then are allured by a friend that says something like, “Oh, c’mon! One’s not travelling to ache!” don’t give in. It only takes one to get you back on the path of fuming again

Some people quit by switching from name brand cigarettes to natural 100% tobacco cigarettes. Name-brand cigarettes incorporated anywhere from 500 to 1000 (!) chemicals, in addition to the nicotine. Some of the most intense withdrawal symptoms are a result of the chemicals in the brand name cigarettes. After a while some people then switch to a herbal substitutes

So it’s easy to see that while there are many ways to quit smoking, you need to do a little research and decide on the method to quit smoking that might work best for you. You can make this determination more easily by executing a little inquiring work. Do alarming pictures of lung cancer x-rays conspicuous you out? Google some images and tack them up above your desk for inspiration and motivation. How about an online quit smoking support group or forum? Browse a book store for a self-help book on ways to quit smoking. I have composed an e-course “Getting at the ready to discontinue smoking” that you can have at no charge to assist you with your quest. The key is, don’t give up! Sooner or later, you’ll happen resources that actuate you

Talk to your doctor, join a quit smoking forum and read up on the effects of this nasty and expensive habit. Find your ad hominem motivations and what best helps address your triggers. That’s when you’ll happen your best method to quit smoking. And retrieve, you can, like millions of others, do it!

What will most likely happen because of my DWI?

Question by Mark: What will most likely happen because of my DWI?
I was stopped on the highway, due to construction work, patiently waiting for the highway to be reopened, the overseeing VA State Trooper at the site approached my stopped car because of my Tint, gauged it and ticketed me for it. I had not had a single drink ( blew .000) however I had smoked “K2″, a legal herb i purchased from a store. He sobriety tested me because my eyes were bloodshot and I was supposedly talking funny. He then failed me on my sobriety test based on how much i was shaking. I was shaking because it was in the 30′s and I was very nervous. They searched my car and found nothing. He then took me to the hospital and drew my blood, and the results will most likely turn up THC positive. Any advice or predictions are appreciated. Also I am 18 and have no priors.

Would selling BANTRON in drugstores again be a good idea?

Question by R D: Would selling BANTRON in drugstores again be a good idea?
Years ago I used BANTRON tablets to try and stop smoking. As I recall, this herb made cigarette smoke taste awful and I didn’t smoke when using it. Since then, it has been withdrawn from the market. I’m wondering if it might not be such a bad idea to use the active ingredient in herbal form, lobeline, at those times when my resolve to quit weakens, and not necessarily as a complete magic pill to solve a smoking addiction – just a “don’t do that” reminder which could make the difference between smoking and not smoking “right now”. Hope this question makes sense.

I’m getting gastric bypass surgery, final decision, i’m just tired of hearing people talk about vitamins/after?

Question by LiLLy: I’m getting gastric bypass surgery, final decision, i’m just tired of hearing people talk about vitamins/after?
I mentioned to someone today through work that I will be having gastric bypass. It was a business meeting (basically a guy who is a notary, very kind and all) and he asked how I was doing. We were both large in figure so I I just happened to throw out that I’m good i’m just looking forward to having gastric bypass soon. He communicated his opinions and concern and advise, which I was happy to receive, I just thought it was lacking when he mentioned how one of the supplements i’ll have to take will be calcium because of “___”. I mentioned that I currently take vitamins along with calcium and just for for years now, one of the draw backs of this surgery people look at the daily ‘ oh you have to take vitamins’ how should I address this concern? Shouldn’t people take vitamins throughout their life and not just when they’re 40+?

BTW: I am in my late 20′s, put on my weight through opening a very successful business, and have just put on so much weight im having a hard time with my knees and ankles functioning properly and I need this life changing opportunity to help me balance properly. So far I have quit smoking (its been a year and half) and I am trying to be on the right track…..im just wondering when people mention the “vitamin” thing what should I say??????????????

If you are eating right generally you do not need vitamins through your life. It is just that few americans actually eat right. When people act concerned about parts of the operation just tell them you have thought everything through

Why did I loose hearing and vision?

Question by Nick C. M: Why did I lax hearing and vision?
Last night, I had probably one of the scariest experiences in my life. I have NEVER executed this before, but last night I was in a really shitty mood, and I was at a party, and a friend inquired me if I desired to take a pain pill, and I stated, fuck it, yes.I’m 20 years older, with an able-bodied heart, but at the same time, heart disease runs in the family. I should state you, I was fuming “herb” as well. I wasn’t imbibing though.Anyways, I took a “Tramadol”, 50 mg, that was given to my friends DOG, lol. I took it about 11 pm, when the last time I ate was 5 pm. Around 1-2 am, OUT OF NOWHERE, my vision got down dimming, and I got down sudating like enthusiastic, and there was a clement pain throughout my hole body. The vision never completely melted, it just appeared like I was in a gloomy room, when in reality, it was a brilliant room. Then around the same time, I started to lax my hearing as well. After about 5-10 minutes, things started to go back to average, and I was competent to drive home safely about a hour later. I did however finger week (Before, during, and after). I had to transport my backpack to the car, and it fingered dense, when it wasn’t.WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!? Did my heart discontinue, or sluggish way down, or what? Should I go to the doctor, even though I feel close-grained now?P.S.: I was very nauseous when this was happening, and I don’t take any medications.

End of lecture.Side effects of Tramadol……nervousness, filmed over vision, constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, drowsiness, adust mouth, blushing, headache, indigestion or heartburn, spoiling, mood changes, muscle tightness, sudating, unmanageable agitating hands, discomposed stomach, vomiting up, weakness. That plus the herb and there you have it
