How To Quit Smoking By Looking At The Methods Of Attempts

Looking back at your attempts and let’s analyze what has seemed to work for you. At times, your attempts may have been just a short while, perhaps for months, weeks, days or even hours.

Just because you didn’t manage to quit permanently doesn’t mean that you have entirely failed or that you have wasted your time.

You can look what attempts that cause you to maintain smoke-free the longest and from there shape up a plan to quit smoking.

Your Support Groups

When you were trying to quit, did you have any support groups or friends that are willing to give their fill encouragement to you? This will be a great deal of help especially when things are tough and challenges get in the way.

Take for example, a friend may bear or have more little patience with you when they know you are more irritable when you are trying to quit smoking. But be careful as this may only work for a short while.

Your family is also another precious support group because they are the people you see every single day!

Their belief in your efforts to quit smoking may directly affect whether you succeed or not. In fact, their support is more important any of your friends or peers because you are most emotionally connected to them.

It would be great to get a partner and a friend to quit smoking with you. There are many people who want to quit smoking and chances are, it won’t be very hard to find them.

All you have to do is ask. Also, no one would understand better than someone who is trying to quit and going through the same challenges as you are.

The Methods You Tried

During the course of trying to quit smoking, did you try to use nicotine replacement products over the counter such as the nicotine patch of gums? Or have you tried medication like Bupropion?

If you did, how did these work out for you? Were they effective?

Have you tried to quit smoking via hypnosis? Were you able to not think about smoking anymore after your sessions?

Did you also try alternative methods such as herbs, acupuncture or any natural remedy?
Now what you can do is to look at what methods has helped you to go on not smoking the most time, you can then focus on the method most that helped you.

But the rule is that you start by focusing on only one method first, and then slowly move on to the others.

It seems more and more of us are making the decision to stop smoking. Despite this, the world is still full of smokers. Everybody has a friend or family member that smokes. YOU are that friend or family member. Have you decided that you are going to quit at the end of this year? Is it your new years resolution? Why not make the decision to quit today? Why do another 3 weeks of damage to your lungs? Why have another 3 weeks of feeling like a dog because you have to go outside to do something ‘dirty’. Why be worried about your stinky breath when you kiss that person you’ve had your eye on at the office Christmas party? No – you can make the decision to quit right here, right now. Electronic Cigarettes free samples available

I have finally quit smoking. :) ) I quit smoking with the latest trend in smoking cessation products that actually works. I kept searching all over the Internet to find a product that delivers. I have tried everything; nicotine patches, gum, hypnosis you name it. Thank God for Vapor Pack as this product has finally helped me in quitting cigarettes for good. I will no like to talk about the advantages of quiting smoking with the revolutionary e-cigarette.

I will now go into the Advantages of E-cigarettes

Well for starters no more stained teeth.  You also don’t have to worry about smelling up your car or house.  Feel free to smoke indoors now as you will not leave any lingering odor.  The main benefit is  your no longer  inhaling 4,000 plus harmful chemicals.

Yes you can now smoke your e-cigarettes indoors, in  the club, at a bar,  at the mall, in airports, in airplanes, restaurants, etc. wherever you you want!  The company even gives you a card that says they are not real cigarettes and they are harmless to innocent bystanders.

They are also a great way to stop smoking. You are slowly weaning off the nicotine while you feed your oral fixation that you developed from smoking real cigarettes.

And now the Possible Disadvantages of E-Cigarettes

People will try to bum a cigarette of you and this just isn’t happening as you will only have one cartridge. Strangers might tell you that you can’t smoke here and all you have to do is simply tell them that these are not real cigarettes..

You must be 18 or over to use e-cigarettes.

You got nothing to lose and everything to gain I say at least try the free trial to see if you like it or not. it might just help you finally quit and save your life.

Why Many Attempts May Be Good To Stop Smoking Forever

Most smokers who try to quit smoking will at least attempt a few tries before they are able to kick away the habit forever. Some of you may succeed in days and weeks, but some of you may only succeed after a few months and even sometimes, a few years.

I truly believe that smokers who make these quit smoking attempts for many times and not succeeded yet, are not prepared to quit smoking. They have not done any research on what it truly takes to quit smoking and are not well positioned both physically and mentally.

Of course, even the most successful ex-smokers will experiences relapses before quitting forever. But with proper preparation, when relapses happen, it will give you a good indication and help you to discover where you went wrong and to rethink your strategy for quitting.

Keep in mind even if relapses happen, you did not do anything wrong or that you’ve failed. It just means you’re not entirely ready at that point of time to quit. Besides just like anything in life, it’s hard to succeed during the first try.

There are a few questions below you can ask yourself during the course of quitting smoking like how many times have you tried to quit smoking?

My guess is if you’re like any smoker, the number of times you’ve tried to quit is at least 3 times.

The good news is that if you’ve noticed the amount of time you go on without smoking, the period of time that you go on without smoking becomes longer. This indicates that your body is slowly adapting for it to be without cigarettes.

However, the amount of times you’ve quit is more important that the time you’ve remained smoke-free. Why is that so?

It is because each attempt creates an opportunity to bring you a step closer for you to quit smoking and achieve your goal.

Here are other questions that can help you to further reflect on your number of attempts to quit.

What is the longest time you can go on without having a cigarette?

Each time you attempt to quit, do you clearly know why you want to quit?

I hope you will ask these questions each time you attempt to quit smoking.

Help to Stop Smoking

think it was Mark Twain who said “giving up smoking is easy. I’ve done it a thousand times.”

If you have been a regular smoker for a number of years you’re going to need some help to stop smoking because you have become addicted to nicotine. So where do you go for help?

Why not start at home and ask your partner for support and advice. Indeed, if you are both smokers it makes sense to give up the habit together and that way be mutually supportive. It’s comforting that you’re not alone in your struggle, but that someone else is going through the same as you. You can share the problem and think of ways of beating it.

An idea is to take up a pursuit that you both enjoy that will take you out of your normal home environment as much as possible. This reduces the opportunities and the need to smoke, especially if you do some sort of exercise like swimming, golf, or cycling. It is difficult to ride a bike and smoke at the same time! Also the fresh air is invigorating and exercise releases feel-good brain chemicals which make it less necessary to seek the chemical changes caused by smoking.

Beyond your partner you should look to your family for support also. They should be tolerant if your mood becomes somewhat irritable in the weeks immediately after stopping smoking. This is likely to happen to some more than others but is a well known feature of withdrawal. Some people can feel more anxious and worry more during this period as they no longer have the emotional crutch of a cigarette and they need sympathetic understanding. Some people will tend to put on weight after giving up smoking and this is another area they might need help with.

Your doctor also should be consulted when giving up smoking as he can help considerably both in terms of advice and by prescribing medication to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms allowing you to gradually reduce your dependence on nicotine. Make no mistake, nicotine is a very addictive drug and you may well need help in overcoming this.

Your doctor might suggest you try acupuncture or hypnotherapy if he thinks it is suitable. These alternative treatments do not have a great deal of scientific evidence to back them up, but, there is no doubt that they can help a lot of people who want to quit smoking without having to take more drugs.

Help and counselling is also available from many local and national organisations both privately and through the NHS. You can get details of these online or from your GP’s surgery. Talking through your problem with somebody who has seen it all before can be very reassuring and helpful in keeping you motivated.

Finally, remember that you are in charge of your own life and destiny. Think how important giving up smoking is to your health and to your future. You can help yourself by re-asserting your aim and your determination to succeed. Smoking is becoming socially unacceptable in today’s society and by giving up you are doing yourself a big favour. There is plenty of help available and you shouldn’t be too proud or too afraid to ask for it.

Best way to finally quit smoking cigarettes

Hi I am going to share with you a breakthrough on how to finally get rid of smoking in your life. The name of the product is called VaporPack and it is an electronic cigarette with no nicotine in it. This E-cigarette aided me along with my four main reasons to finally kick the habit for good The nice thing about this product is your smoking water vapor with no cancer causing chemicals. This is the best product I have ever discovered through a friend. The electronic cigarette does a wonderful job of mimicking a real cigarette while you attempt to quit for good.

I would now like to talk why I quit. My four main reasons that I quit are: saving money, nicer teeth, healthy lungs, and freedom from the nicotine demon.

First I would like to start out by saying that I am now saving $3,285 dollars a year! I live in New York and cigarettes are super expensive out here. My friends in California pay way less for theirs but that besides the point. I am using all this money for emergency money and a much needed trip to Maui. I will now talk about my teeth.

The second reason is my teeth. Not only are they getting whiter by the day but I no longer have to experience loose teeth and those disgusting brown stains. I was always embarrassed to smile…..not anymore. Hello ladies. I will now talk about my lungs. Your lungs are the second most vital organ in the human body. Without air you can’t survive. All those years that I smoked didn’t make sense, as I am an avid outdoors man and love mountain biking. I used to run out of breath and walk my bike up the hill…..not anymore. Plus I know for a fact that I didn’t want to leave earth like this. Lung cancer is a very slow and painful death that I will not experience. I will now talk about the nicotine demon.

I was your average pack a day smoker. I used to wake up and instead of a nice glass of life giving water it was a drag of a death inducing cancer stick. All throughout the day I would day dream of my next nicotine fix. Now I daydream of taking beautiful beach vacations to exotic locations.

Well that is my story on how I finally quit smoking and I urge you to try this product as Vapor Pack does offer a free trial. This might just save your life and be well worth the try. I built this blog to help people quit smoking for good.

Why Should I Quit Smoking Today?

You should quit smoking today or at least by next week, for the sake of your own health if not for others.

Did you know that smoking is one of the main causes of people dying earlier than they need, and it can be as much as ten years earlier? Ten years of your life is not worth forfeiting unless you were getting a serious benefit from smoking. But what benefit do you get exactly? Some people say that smoking relaxes them but even that is not necessarily true as to some extent nicotine acts as a stimulant. When you need to relax there are better ways than with a cigarette

If you look at the history of smoking it certainly goes back a long way. It seems that tobacco was harvested as long ago as 3000 BC or even earlier, probably in South America. The practice of incense burning and use of tobacco worked its way into various civilisations as part of ritual practices. From there it began to be taken up for pleasure and as a social tool. It probably spread to Northern America and then across to Europe where the practice became widespread.

Unfortunately, like so many things, the dangers of tobacco and smoking were not appreciated until much more recently. Even up to the end of the Second World War smoking was often considered a manly practice and much advertising centred on this image. In fact this advertising was grossly misleading since smoking does nothing to enhance manliness. In fact it’s quite the reverse in that smoking gradually takes away from one’s health and strength and can reduce a man, in his later life, to a weakened cripple.

Today the pendulum of public knowledge and opinion has swung the other way. Tobacco companies have been sued for misleading advertising, smoking is becoming less tolerated in public places, and even the packets of cigarettes carry large, government backed health warnings.

Today, everybody should be aware of the serious health risks from smoking:

- Cancer, particularly of the throat and lungs
- Lung disease in the form of emphysema and bronchitis causing reduction in lung capacity and function
- Blood vessel and heart disease

Okay, it’s easy to think that these things will never happen to me. I’m fit and healthy. Well, maybe you are now but these conditions creep up on you slowly so that you don’t even notice that anything is wrong until it’s too late to reverse the narrowed arteries or repair damaged lungs. You may get some warning from a persistent cough or a shortness of breath, but it’s amazing how many people just accept this state of affairs without trying to do anything about it.

Don’t leave it too late to quit smoking. The later you leave it the more difficult it is to quit, and, the more damage will have been done. A heavy smoker may not only die ten years sooner than he should, but may well also have the last years of his life marred by crippling illness that destroys the quality of life.

The upside of quitting now is that, almost immediately your body starts to recover, and although you may not actually notice any difference straight away there will be immediate health benefits. Heart rate and blood pressure tend to lower, and fitness gradually improves as lung function begins to be restored

So please, quit smoking today. You know it makes sense.
