What are you able to do to clear your lungs if they have been damaged by smoking? If you have been smoking for a few years, you’ve probably done some injury to your lungs. However is this injury irrevocable and there are things you’re able to do to clear your lungs?

Let’s discuss how your lungs are damaged by smoking. The solution is an easy one. With each cigarette you smoke, you fill your lungs with tar and poisonous chemicals. And unfortunately, almost sixty % of these deadly poisons remain in your lungs after you breathe out. Over time, these poisons build up within your lungs and bring about a problem.

Healthy lungs do an efficient job of clearing themselves naturally. Minute hairs found in your lungs called cilia continually sweep residue and poisons out of your lungs. Each time you smoke, more and more toxic substances are pumped into your lungs. Over time, the delicate cilia become damaged and can no longer efficiently clear your lungs.

When enough of the cilia are crippled, you could begin to notice early symptoms of lung damage. A lingering dry cough known as a smoker’s cough is one of one of the 1st symptoms. Many people also experience shortness of breath. If you think you have these or other serious symptoms, you should see your doctor to make sure that it isn’t something more serious.

So, what should you do to clear your lungs if they have been damaged by smoking? Quitting is the best option. But sadly, millions of individuals are not able to give it up. Therefore if you haven’t been able to stop, there’s still a easy, simple technique you can use to clear your lungs quickly and efficiently.

Using an easy method, you can fix this lung damage and obtain clear healthy lungs in an exceedingly short amount of time. In fact, this method can clear your lungs 15 or 20 times quicker than your body is able to do it naturally.

And the process is extremely easy. The process includes a little known combination of food supplements and special vitamins to clear your lungs and flush the toxins out of your body.

How Bad Habits Run in Packs

Does smoking encourage other addictive behaviors? Here’s the cold, hard truth: a large percentage of smokers engage in other unhealthy habits such as alcohol consumption, drinking too much coffee, overeating, and even gambling.

How many smokers do you know who absolutely must have a cup of java with their morning cigarette? What about that cloud of smoke hanging over the lounge or bar?

Think for a moment about your daily routine and the things you do while smoking. Do you have any other addictive or compulsive habits that seem to go hand in hand?

If you answered yes, don’t fret. By taking the first step towards stopping smoking, you’ll find it easier to eliminate other harmful habits.

One Addiction At A Time

The secret to success is to tackle your first goal of quitting smoking before attempting to work on any other addictive habits.

You’ll also want to avoid adopting any new bad habits or behaviors during the first few weeks you wage battle against nicotine. Many people find themselves unintentionally substituting food as a replacement for cigarettes as they try to quit smoking.

To make matters worse, the types of food or drink they usually crave the most are high calorie sweets and snack foods or sugary soft drinks. Unfortunately the end result is often a noticeable amount of weight gain within a few months. While they may have succeeded in quitting smoking, they now have to deal with excess weight and all the related health problems.

Beat The Physical And Psychological Addiction So You Can Stop Smoking

In order to quit smoking, you need to know what causes or contributes to your addictive behaviors. When smokers talk about their inability to stop smoking, they’ll often mention an overpowering nicotine craving.

Although there’s no doubt that smoking causes a physical addiction in the body, smokers experience a psychological dependence too. This mental dependence can be just as challenging to overcome.

Consider the following scenario:

A man who has smoked for twenty years finally decides to quit smoking. He experiences a great deal of frustration and anxiety for the first three weeks as he tries to stop smoking. But gradually, he succeeds in kicking his smoking addiction.

However, several months after this success he learns that his company is downsizing and he is under great pressure to complete additional new tasks while his job is hanging in the balance. As the stress begins to get unbearable, his urge to smoke returns stronger than ever.

Although the nicotine is gone from his bloodstream, his mind still remembers the pleasant, relaxing feeling associated with smoking. He mentally links smoking with relief from stress. Those two things, stress and smoking, are wired together in his emotional fusebox. In order to cope with this new stress, he resorts to old behaviors.

Why Quitting Smoking is Harder For Some People

If you’ve compared notes with other smokers, you know that some of them simply decided to quit smoking and did it. Cold turkey. No regrets. Then there are those who struggle for years, stopping smoking only to resume again. And again.

Why do some people have so much trouble and stress when trying to stop smoking while others seem to sail through it? Many scientists and physicians believe this is strongly related to the individual’s mental well-being and mindset.

People who have trouble trying to stop smoking often have personal beliefs that are self defeating. A person may have every intention of stopping smoking but if they don’t have the correct, positive mindset the task may seem nearly impossible and backsliding inevitable.

Negative Beliefs Make It Harder to Quit Smoking

The following list contains some self defeating thoughts and behaviors that can hinder your goal of stopping smoking. These negative attitudes can make it increasingly difficult to break any type of bad habit or addiction, whether it’s smoking, gambling, drinking, or some other unwanted habit.

So whatever it is you’re trying to give up, try to give up these attitudes first:

 1. Misplaced blame. How many times have you heard someone say: “I could stop smoking if I didn’t have to deal with my boss, children, spouse, etc” In order to quit smoking or break any type of negative habit, you first need to accept responsibility for your actions.

 2. Inability to cope. Many smokers feel they can’t deal with the pain, stress, or frustration of everyday life. Smoking is a crutch that enables them to function properly. By accepting and dealing with your emotional turmoil, you’ll greatly increase your chances of stopping smoking.

 3. Overwhelmed by addiction. Some people may feel that stopping smoking is completely out of their control. Their addiction is such an important part of their life that they feel quitting smoking is unattainable.

 4. Denial. Before you can stop smoking, first recognize and acknowledge there is a problem. You’ve probably heard some people say they can quit smoking any time they want to. While this may be true for a few individuals, most often it’s not the case. If you have been smoking for a long time, your body has developed an addiction and you may need help to beat it.

Prescriptions Medication To Help You Stop Smoking

After you’ve developed a positive attitude about quitting smoking, the next step is to choose a method with a high success rate.

Today there are many new drugs on the market that make the physical discomfort of stopping smoking more tolerable. The most notable is a prescription product called Chantix.

Chantix helps you stop smoking by lessening the effects of nicotine on the body and reducing both the cravings and unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Smokers should start taking Chantix a full week before they actually intend to quit smoking. This enables the amount of the active ingredient in Chantix to build up in your system, which will make stopping smoking less stressful and physically less uncomfortable.

Do you really want to stop smoking or do you want to help somebody quit smoking? If your answer is YES then this brings us to yet another question â??How can you stop smoking?â? how can you or anybody else quit this stinking habit? Well, in rare cases itâ??s easy for some individuals to quit the smoking habit, they will just wake up one day and decide they will never smoke again and they quit smoking just like that. Out of my own experience I think nobody enjoys smoking, itâ??s only the beginners who enjoy this habit in itâ??s early stages until they are addicted to the habit and start fighting it back in efforts of trying to quit the same habit, therefore a majority of so called â??smokersâ? only smoke because they are addicted to smoking and not because they enjoy smoking.

I will tell you a short story of my own experience. I started smoking back in 1995 when I used to work in a discotheque as a Dj. I was drawn to the habit by friends and I got deep into it not realizing what I was getting my self into. At first it was fun it was cool and it felt so good â??smokingâ?, it was relaxing. After a year I decided, well I am tired of smoking and its time to quit so I woke up one morning and said to my self I will never smoke again. Three hours later on that same day while smoking my second cigarette is when I remembered that I had made a decision that morning never to smoke again! I felt terrible it was like I had betrayed my self; this went on for days months and years until I realized how difficult it was for me to stop the habit.

This â??warâ? between me and smoking went on for twelve years; I tried every thing from eating specific kinds of selected foods to all sorts of medicine including herbal medicines in the efforts of trying to get rid of the cigarette cravings but nothing worked until one day in 2006 while searching for the cure to my smoking problem on the internet I came across this amazing Freedom From Smoking Guide. At first I thought it was just one of the many online money making scams that are all over the internet, but I took some time and thought of how smoking was affecting my life, my health, my finances, my wife, my new baby, almost every part of my life was affected by smoking and I decided to download that guide and give it a try. This guide changed my life almost instantly, finally after 12 years of bondage I stopped smoking just like that simply by following the simple steps and guidelines in this amazing Freedom From Smoking Guide for only 17$ . <noindex>Click here to see Freedom From Smoking Guide.</noindex>

For Most people smoking is a hard habit to break because tobacco contains nicotine which is highly addictive to the body and mind just like cocaine and other addictive drugs. The body and mind get so used to the nicotine in cigarettes that a person has to smoke just to feel normal and think straight.

Most people know that smoking causeâ??s cancer, emphysema, wrinkles, and so on and it also shortens your life span by 10 years or more, it costs smokers thousands of dollars or more every year yet people continue to smoke, this just shows how powerful this cigarette smoking addiction is and therefore it is not something to play or joke around with.

During the 12 years of my smoking addiction I was a heavy smoker I smoked thirty to thirty five cigarettes in a day, I was spending a lot of money on cigarettes my skin turned grey and wrinkled my hair was falling off and I finally developed a serious chest condition which crippled me financially I was in a lot of pain and weak and my life was slowly fading away. Itâ??s now very important for you who is currently addicted or may be you know a loved one you can help get out of this slavery to act now before itâ??s too late by simply downloading this Freedom From Smoking Guide for only 17$ you will save yourself or someone else from spending thousands of dollars in trying to cure smoking related illnesses or even death.

Consequences of smoking:

Every time you light a cigarette be sure that by the time you finish smoking it you will have lost 5 to 20 minutes of your life, thatâ??s a proven fact. Smokers also tend to develop yellow teeth and loose bone density which increases the risk of osteoporosis a condition that causes bones to break easily and bend over during old age. Smoking affects lung power meaning smokers tend to be less active. Smoking causes fertility problems and affects sexual health in both men and women, women using any form of birth control can develop serious health problems including heart attacks when they smoke and in the case of men they tend to develop erection problems.

Cigarette, cigars and pipe smoke contains over 4000 different harmful chemicals which affect a personâ??s body and health quickly some of these effects are: High risk of illness, slow healing of injuries, reduced physical performance, bad smells and breath, stained teeth and bad skin. Most smokers try to substitute the regular cigarette with other products that seem like they are better for them like filtered or low tar cigarettes but the only thing which helps a person avoid the problems associated with smoking is staying smoke free.

You should quit smoking today or at least by next week, for the sake of your own health if not for others.

Did you know that smoking is one of the main causes of people dying earlier than they need, and it can be as much as ten years earlier? Ten years of your life is not worth forfeiting unless you were getting a serious benefit from smoking. But what benefit do you get exactly? Some people say that smoking relaxes them but even that is not necessarily true as to some extent nicotine acts as a stimulant. When you need to relax there are better ways than with a cigarette

If you look at the history of smoking it certainly goes back a long way. It seems that tobacco was harvested as long ago as 3000 BC or even earlier, probably in South America. The practice of incense burning and use of tobacco worked its way into various civilisations as part of ritual practices. From there it began to be taken up for pleasure and as a social tool. It probably spread to Northern America and then across to Europe where the practice became widespread.

Unfortunately, like so many things, the dangers of tobacco and smoking were not appreciated until much more recently. Even up to the end of the Second World War smoking was often considered a manly practice and much advertising centred on this image. In fact this advertising was grossly misleading since smoking does nothing to enhance manliness. In fact it’s quite the reverse in that smoking gradually takes away from one’s health and strength and can reduce a man, in his later life, to a weakened cripple.

Today the pendulum of public knowledge and opinion has swung the other way. Tobacco companies have been sued for misleading advertising, smoking is becoming less tolerated in public places, and even the packets of cigarettes carry large, government backed health warnings.

Today, everybody should be aware of the serious health risks from smoking:

- Cancer, particularly of the throat and lungs
- Lung disease in the form of emphysema and bronchitis causing reduction in lung capacity and function
- Blood vessel and heart disease

Okay, it’s easy to think that these things will never happen to me. I’m fit and healthy. Well, maybe you are now but these conditions creep up on you slowly so that you don’t even notice that anything is wrong until it’s too late to reverse the narrowed arteries or repair damaged lungs. You may get some warning from a persistent cough or a shortness of breath, but it’s amazing how many people just accept this state of affairs without trying to do anything about it.

Don’t leave it too late to quit smoking. The later you leave it the more difficult it is to quit, and, the more damage will have been done. A heavy smoker may not only die ten years sooner than he should, but may well also have the last years of his life marred by crippling illness that destroys the quality of life.

The upside of quitting now is that, almost immediately your body starts to recover, and although you may not actually notice any difference straight away there will be immediate health benefits. Heart rate and blood pressure tend to lower, and fitness gradually improves as lung function begins to be restored

So please, quit smoking today. You know it makes sense.
